Terms and Conditions

  1. Meru Select terms & conditions are over & above standard terms & conditions of Meru Cab Company Private Limited.
  2. It is an invitation based program hence all the rules & regulations will be governed as define under Meru Select program. Meru Select is an invitation based program. The Meru Select Member has an option to opt out of this program by writing to unsubscribe.crm@merucabs.com.
  3. Meru Cabs uses the mobile numbers registered with us on our website & our database to identify the Meru Select member. All mobile numbers are identified as unique numbers in system. Multiple numbers and transactions associated with customer/customers cannot be combined under this program.
  4. Meru Select membership will be issued solely at the discretion of the management and the final discretion on all matters relating to the membership shall rest with the Meru Cabs. Meru Select membership parameters may change during the course, without giving any prior notice & any public announcement.
  5. The ‘Meru Select’ membership is valid for a period of one year from the start date & thereafter shall be reviewed every year by Meru Cabs. However, it will not be as of right and will be at the sole discretion of Meru Cabs.
  6. All rights regarding the selection of ‘Meru Select’ members are reserved by Meru Cab Company Private Limited. It also reserves the right of withdrawing the membership without giving any prior notice or intimation to the members. The liability of Meru Cabs will only be limited to the extent of the services mentioned. Meru Cabs also reserves the right to change, cancel and modify the terms and conditions, services relating to ‘Meru Select’ including discontinuation of the program itself, without any prior notice.
  7. Under this program the “100% assured service” benefit is defined as follows:
    • 7.1. We assure availability of cab, for all 'Accepted' bookings in our booking system.
    • 7.2. Meru Select member will get booking confirmation after acceptance of booking.
    • 7.3. Cab information will be sent to the customer approximately 20 min prior to pick up time.
    • 7.4. To avail this benefit, minimum trip distance should be 5 Kms (Aerial) and the cab booking should be made at least 2 hours in advance.
    • This benefit will not be applicable for pickup from airport. At airport, we need to follow the rules & regulations laid by respective airport authority.
  8. Meru Cabs reserves the right to withdraw anyone or all of the membership without giving any prior notice. Meru Cabs will have limited liability to the membership only to the extent of the services mentioned.
  9. Meru Cabs is liable to pay token of regret of Rs. 500/- for non fulfilment of services; but not for any loss incurred directly or indirectly due to the non services mentioned
  10. Meru Cabs shall not be responsible or liable for any loss or damage, howsoever caused or suffered by the Customer arising out of the use of taxi service offered by Meru Cabs or due to the failure of Meru Cabs to provide services to the Customer for any reason whatsoever including but not limited to the Customer's non-compliance with the services' recorded voice instructions, malfunction, partial or total failure of any network terminal, data processing system, computer tele-transmission or telecommunications system or other circumstances whether or not beyond the control of Meru Cabs or any person or any organization involved in the above mentioned systems

    Without prejudice to the above, Meru Cabs shall not be liable for any direct or indirect loss or damage which may be suffered by the Customer as a result of any failure by Meru Cabs to provide a taxi to the Customer within any stipulated time even if Meru Cabs has agreed to so provide the taxi or even if the Customer has advised Meru Cabs of the possibility that any such loss or damage would result if the taxi is not provided at all or within the stipulated time
  11. The Customer shall indemnify Meru Cabs from and against and in respect of any or all liabilities, losses, charges and expenses (including legal fees and costs on a full indemnify basis) claims, demands, actions and proceedings which Meru Cabs may incur or sustain directly or indirectly from or by any reason of or in relation to the use or purposed use of the Services by the Customer and shall pay such sums on demand.
  12. Meru Cabs will not be responsible for servicing the booking in case of ‘Customer No Show’ or ‘Customer Cancellation’. In case of ‘Customer No Show’, Meru Select may review his/her membership continuance.
  13. Non service means, not able to provide cab after 'Accepting' customer's booking. If the customer's booking is not accepted, at the time of initial contact for cab booking, it will not be considered as non service & the company will not be liable for any token of regret. Meru Cabs will investigate the reasons of non service internally & respond accordingly. The final discretion on all matters related to the token of regret shall rest with the Meru Cabs.
  14. All additional schemes or benefits under the ‘Meru Select’ program from time to time will carry respective terms & conditions.
  15. Meru Select membership is non transferable.
  16. The members are requested to update any change in their address/s and profile from time to time in customer profile section at www.merucabs.com/profile/view.
  17. Meru Cabs reserves the right to change, cancel and modify the terms and conditions, services relating to Meru Select including discontinuation of the program itself, without any prior notice.
  18. Privilege / gift voucher are subject to their respective terms & conditions, if any.
  19. In the event of a dispute between a ‘Meru Select’ member and Meru Cabs, with regard to or in relation to ‘Meru Select’, the decision of Meru Cabs will be deemed as final and binding for this program and shall not be questioned.
  20. All terms and conditions are subject to the laws of India. The disputes, if any, will be subject to exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts in Mumbai.
  21. Meru Cabs shall not be responsible for any loss of communication / information of status update, score & benefits under the program.All this information will be send on mobile number &/or email ID registered with Meru Cabs. Meru Cabs will not be responsible for appropriateness of mobile or email or any other communication medium.
  22. Meru Cabs is authorized to use customer information captured in Meru's system for Meru Select program & send communication to the registered mobile number & email id.
  23. Meru Cabs is not responsible for performance, quality and claims of any 3rd party product &/or services offered under this program, if any.
  24. Meru Cabs reserve the right to publish information of beneficiaries of any program, offer, scheme or any promotion.
  25. Meru Cabs reserves the right to change terms & conditions at any point of time, without any prior notice.
